Go the Rag
Saturday, April 1st, 2006Pete & I have been wanting to do a crew swap with the Craig
& Riss from the Rag for a while now… but it’s taken a long
time to convince them it’s a good idea… in the end there was no
convincing… it’s going to happen.
The forecast is for a 15/25 knot SE breeze, easing through the day.
It was hitting 30+ for most of the afternoon today, so hopefully it
blows itself out a bit by tomorrow.
It’ll be interesting to see how John sails compared to Sweeny,
after watching the
headcam footage from the windy JJ race, I’m going to have to be
on my toes.
The linked clip from the headcam is the first lap of the NE course
in a 20-25 knot breeze. The Rag is in 3rd place, gybing around
Shark Island, and getting smacked by a big gust on the way in to
the bottom mark.
Gotta love the onboard audio too… holy mother f$%ker!
