So Herman told me about this only today…

Apparently Seve and the Gotta Love It team blew up their rig on the last leg of the 18 Footer race on the weekend. They washed up on the rocks between Taylor & Chowder Bays and were helped off by their flotilla of support craft.

From there it got interesting… they were apparently pulled off, their broken rig put in a support boat, and they were then towed into the middle of the course… at which point they let go of the tow and drifted through the finish line to place 9th.

Interesting interpretation on outside assistance eh.

Luckily someone on the spectator ferry caught the incident on camera…
