Final shakedown

The last weekend of Garda preparation has just gone. That’s it. Nothing more can be done.

When the 50 knot winds died, John and I spent Sunday and Monday testing, tuning and training. A very worthwhile couple of days. If only there were another couple of months of preparation…

The boats were boxed up on Monday afternoon and dropped at the depot this morning. I just hope they make it to Milan in one piece and we get through without too much drama.

The UK guys have also had their last hitout prior to the Worlds, with their 3-top Prowlers looking (or at least sounding) strong.

It’ll all be revealed pretty soon - and all the Internet speculation will end. With so many boats turning up before the event, I think the relative performances are going to shake out well before the 25th of June start date.

That’s if everyone shows their aces during training…
