The revolution will be televised
The 18 season is about to start… and 2008 is seeing some new thinking from one of the new boats to the league fleet - joining us from SFS.
I’m not sure that their rig ideas will work. A bit too back-to-the-future-ish for me, but one thing will be for sure, (as I said to Bill a while back) they’re so far from where the rest of the fleet is converging that they’ll either be famous, or well out the back door.
Racing starts on October 14th.

So Barracouta Sails ahy. Named after a fish is this because these sails are going to spend plenty of time down under the sea with me old DD?

Well, it wasn’t that slow… We got swallowed at the start which didn’t help. And lost another 200M with a bad kite drop. Overall, only a little slower than the square tops upwind, and same downwind. Not unhappy with that considering thats only the second time with the new rigs and sails - lots of tuning to be done!
