Damned pity with Ben and Nath in the 49ers; nearly made me want to call up and abuse channel 7 when they cut away to some boring equestrian crap from the 49ers shortly after they swam… the final worlds from the commentators was “they’ve let it slip through their fingers”… unsympathetic bastards!
I’ve known Ben from a young age, mostly from when his family moved to the US on a military exchange to replace my dad and our family… the Austins moved into our old house and even bought our old chevy wagon the ‘yank tank’… so when the medal race BS happened I couldn’t help but take it personally. I honestly hope that the Italians and French win the case at Lausanne and get the medal race toppled… Ben and Nath should be awarded with their well deserved bronze. For crying out loud, I thought the Croatians were out just spectating until they crossed the start line!
