Big wins for big races

Or not so much…

The Rag got up for a win yesterday, but it was only a handicap race and half the fleet was mixed up with different teams and different boats. And thankfully the course was set so the scratch top mark was near enough to the rest to keep things close.

Oh well.

We finally got to stretch out a little with a nice 15 knot South Easterly blowing for the first part of the race. It hasn’t been remotely windy for a while now, so the little extra breeze we had was very welcome.

Pete’s suggestion of a chamomile tea in the morning for John and myself seemed to do the trick, with a little less anger on board compared to the last few somewhat tense weeks. Always good to be nice and relaxed.

Only a few weeks left in the season now.
